Liberals commonly tend to be highly educated and relatively affluent. According to recent surveys, between 19% and 26% of the American electorate identify as liberal.

Functional Alcoholic

The functional subtype ccounts for about 19% of U.S. alcoholics. They're generally middle-aged, working adults who tend to have stable relationships, more education, and higher incomes than other alcoholics. They tend to drink every other day, often consuming five or more drinks on drinking days.

Wives of Alcoholics More Likely to Drink

Women who are married to alcoholics are three times more likely to abuse alcohol themselves and three times more likely to work outside the home, compared to wives of non-alcoholics, according to new research.
